Response to brother Shaka Ahmose

I heard some of what Shaka Ahmose has to say about Ancient Egypt, and the Bible.

Firstly, to respond, Ethiopians have always occupied the earth originating in Ethiopia, Ethiopia was given a revelation about God, which was to be passed on through all generations. Although there have been rulers there who have moved away from the original revelation given to mankind, God's law has always been there first as  (Ge'ez ancient Ethiopian Language) 'Hige Libona=Law of heart, Beluy kedan= Old covenant, Addis kedan= New Covenant.

I agree that the original Ethiopian Egyptians were Ethiopians who traveled south to live in the fertile Nile valley they may have been the children of Seth who adhered to 'Hige Libona' or children of Cain, at the time of their movement it is difficult to know, but it is clear that at some point they moved away from the Law of God and began to worship idols and engage in sinful practices. These Ethiopians/Egyptians moved away from the original consciousness of God, they began worshiping men and idols, they were an abomination to the Lord.

The Ethiopian Egyptians enslaved other Ethiopians who had travelled to Ur and Chaldea namely the children of our Father Abraham, these were the children whom Father Moses led out of Egypt which had spiritually become Babylon, they went to Ethiopia, Moses had already married a woman called 'Zipporah' who was a woman of a priest called 'Jethro who was a priest of God following 'Hige Libona' Moses learnt from him how to lead the people according to God's way. Moses then received the commandments in written form, the same commandments which had already been instituted in the 'Hige Libona', Moses then write books based on his revelation, life and prophecies, these books and the original consciousness remained in a corrupt form in Egypt.

The Egyptians continued building upon the corrupted version of the truth. this is why God allowed the corrupt Egyptians to be conquered by the Greeks, they suffered ethnic cleansing just as Shaka Ahmose says, I agree with him on the history, this is how they mixed their idolatry together, in essence we have Idol worshiping Ethiopians, mixed with Idol worshiping Greeks, these later accepted Christianity which came from the seed of the people who had escaped the idolatry under the leadership of Moses, through Christ and St.Mark and it was completely peaceful...How ironic Shaka? That is Gods plan and today we have the Coptic Orthodox Church holding what is good from all of them and rejecting the bad.) Ethiopia had already received through the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8, the New covenant this was institutionalized in the 4th century when the Coptic Church sent bishops to Ethiopia

Shaka, what is the problem if some of the sources of the Septuagint are to be found in Egypt, it simply stands to reason that the true knowledge of the revelation was once in Egypt, I am not surprised that the Egyptians depicted the coming of Christ albeit in a warped form, also that they had written texts depicting the teachings of the original consciousness, because that's where they came from, the original revelation never left Ethiopia and the Egyptians simply write it down albeit in a perverted form.

But we should not follow those who moved from it and established Idol worship... The practice of idol worship is not African, African identity is Ethiopianism, this is the belief in One God and his revelation. There were some Africans who departed from this way of living and this is why they were taken into slavery, but one nation was never conquered, uncorrupted Ethiopia, with the history and language still strong, this nation has moved peacefully through the 3 laws. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is the fruit of this treasure.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. One God. Amen

Is Dr. Ali Muhammad being consistent?

What is true African Identity?

Dr. Ali Muhammad argues that Islam is African identity

1. He conflates African Identity with Islam
2. Arabic being from Geéz
3. The Islamic calendar

To begin with, I must say I respect Dr.Ali Muhammad's scholarship. He refers to the Islamic word Tawhid as having its origin in Ethiopic language called Ge'ez. The word 'Tewahedo' which means ´united´. What Dr. Ali Muhammad should understand is that Ethiopia is the cradle of civilization. He makes many claims about East Africa, I would ask, how he can truly substantiate his claims without become learned in Ethiopian Languages and culture, I have studied Geéz, I speak some Amharic, I have read documents which have yet to be translated into English, there are many words, practices, etc. which Islam took from Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Christianity, we don´t eat pork, we fast, we observe the law, we don´t use the Gregorian calendar, our worship ancient etc. The words sim-name, laylit-night and many more were copied.

In Ethiopia, the concept of Tewahedo predates Islam. we are monotheistic, we always have been, this destroys his argumentation in which he uses Tewahedo as an evidence for the Islamic concept of oneness, because it finds its application in an earlier religion and context. In fact the Islamic concept of ´Tawhid´ or their construed understanding of Tewahedo can only have been taken from Ethiopia, I agree with his claims that Islam may have begun as a political system, with religious overtones, under Abdel Malik who was later referred to as Muhammad. I agree this is indicated by the fact that Jewish and Christians in Jerusalem did not refer to their early colonizers as muslims. As well as the fact that there was no religious dimension to the occupation of Jerusalem until later. But he should consider that the religious overtones originated in Ethiopia, first as ´Hige Libona´ or Law of the heart, then Judaism, then Ethiopia Orthodox Tewahedo Christianity. This means that after the arabs distorted the original islam to their liking, if this is the case then it stands that he should return to the concept from where they took the concept from in the first place, which he will find uncorrupted, Ethiopia was never colonized. Dr. Ali Muhammad also says that there was a conflict in which the original Tewahedo believers destroyed the Kaba, does he not know that it was Ethiopians who destroyed the Kaba. Does he not know that Ethiopia, has always followed Tewahedo, the monotheistic faith, which originated with the first men and was passed down to the world. it has never left Ethiopia.

Uncorrupted african identity does not exist in Islam as Dr,Ali muhammad claims whether or not it originates from Africa, at most king Abdel malik was from Egypt as he claims, but should I remind him that Ethiopians were at the heart of that civilization, there were very few distinctions which could be made, the Nile valley was ruled by Ethiopians, those Ethiopians who abandoned the commandments of the heart which we call ´´hig libona´meaning law of the heart which God revealed to mankind before the time of Moses who came with a written law. Father Enoch had written using this ancient Ethiopian script Geéz all the secrets of the stars dr. Ali muhammad claims originated in the quran. This is clearly where Abdel Malik took his information from. The only reason Dr.Ali Muhammad conflates Islam with African identity is because he has a predispostion towards Islam as his favoured system for some reason, but if he were being consistent he would follow the original concepts to their conclusion.

The conclusion that Ethiopia is the pure source of African identity, and in Ethiopia all the foundations for his arguments are to be found although in Ethiopia they find the origin in Judeo Christian expression. The fact that Africans left Africa and spread around the world resulted in the main of the conciousness being upon other peoples such as the Israelites for a time, but now the story has returned full circle in Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Christianity.

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. One God Amen.

Is Egyptian mythology the source of Christ conciousness?

Ethiopia vs Egypt

In the youtube video called  "Misconceptions of Rastafari - A TruFreedomBlog Interview"

The sister's belief that Egypt is the source of Christ consciousness is incorrect. The first prophecy of the Christ as their redeemer from sin was revealed to Adam and Eve in the garden of Ethiopia. From this prophecy, they also understood that a pure woman would be involved; The Virgin.

And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." (Genesis 3:15)

This consciousness was passed down among the people of Ethiopia, and many of them held it. Noah and his family were among those who held this consciousness, and they were blessed by God. However, the consciousness was diluted over time as the people of Ethiopia were scattered.
The Lord then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. (Genesis 7:1)
These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the whole earth. (Genesis 9:19)
The consciousness was revitalized by Abraham, who passed it on to his descendants. Abraham's descendants eventually moved to Egypt, where some of the consciousness was mixed into Egyptian mythology. However, the original Christ consciousness was different from the Egyptian version, and it was the original version that was fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
...and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." (Genesis 22:18)
When the Lord reminded him of this consciousness, the knowledge that one would come and bless all the nations, Abraham passed it on to Isaac and he onto Jacob, and he onto Joseph and his brothers as the prophecy shows.
“Judah, your brothers will praise you; your hand will be on the neck of your enemies; your father’s sons will bow down to you. You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness—who dares to rouse him?The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his (Genesis 49:8-10)
This family then went down to Egypt, where a portion of the Israelite consciousness was mixed into the Egyptian mythology, the Egyptians liked the beliefs of Abraham's children but rather than follow them, they decided to try to reinterpret them, the Egyptians then depicted this mythology while incorporating some of the original Christ consciousness.
The Israelite after some time were downtrodden by the Egyptians who had welcomed them, their children were being killed and the people being made to work as slaves and carry a heavy load, the pharaohs considered themselves gods, and they forbid the Israelite their original consciousness as Gods promised people, under this heavy pressure many of them doubted the promises of God and lost hope,
Then a new king, to whom Joseph meant nothing, came to power in Egypt. “Look,” he said to his people, “the Israelites have become far too numerous for us. Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.” So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh. But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites and worked them ruthlessly. Exodus 1:8-13
But God sent Moses to remind them that he who revealed the original consciousness to their father and mother in the garden, which passed from them to Noah, to Abraham to Moses is their one and only true God.
The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.” (Exodus 3:7-10)
God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ (Exodus 3:15)
This was significant that they should know it is the same God of their fathers, because they knew the consciousness was one and the same.
So Moses took the people and led them to the promised land, in that land they were to honour God and keep watch for the Christ of whom the consciousness was revealed, but once they went into the land they decided to establish religious burdens upon the people, forgetting the laws they had been given to keep themselves pure for the coming of messiah, so many prophets were sent to tell them to return to God and to wait for the messiah...
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)
So the Egyptians had simply  tapped into the story and extracted what they wanted, when the messiah himself came, the one of whom all the prophets had spoken since the Garden of Eden until his time, they hated him and they crucified him, killed him, but he rose again...and fulfilled the conciousness they themselves had always rejected.
Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.” “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!” “Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” (John 8:56-58)
This conciousness was first given to Ethiopia at the time of Adam and Eve, at that time the Ethiopians lived according to the Law of heart, in which they embodied the conciousness, then Moses went to Ethiopia and renewed their Christ conciousness, then King Solomon and Queen Makeda had a son, who brought the religion of Judaism, the throne of David and the Ark of the Covenant to Ethiopia. Then the Christ consciousness returned full circle to Ethiopia when the Ethiopian Eunuch was baptized.
Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship (Acts 8:26-27)
And that is when the faith of the Christ conscious entered and hence Ethiopia is Orthodox Christian, just as his majesty was because they have had the 1 consciousness throughout. Law of heart, law of Judaism and law of Christianity....so that is how she became confused of the Egyptian connection, return to the Ethiopian connection where all things are revealed...
However, many Rastafari people refuse to follow the consciousness and indulge in diverse doctrine. If Haile Selassie submits to this revelation of the Christ consciousness, accepts the Bible, and the salvation through Jesus Christ alone, why does this person who is supposedly a follower of His Majesty claim that the consciousness in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church is corrupt? Does she know better than His Majesty?
We must "come out of Babylon spiritually, mentally, and physically," as God commands us in the Bible. Babylon represents the sins of the world, and we must flee from it. We must follow the true Christ consciousness, which is found in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
"Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the LORD's vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves. (Jeremiah 51:6)
In the Name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. One God Amen.

Can you be Rasta without believing Haile Selassie is God?

In Feb, 2013, On the BBC 4 Radio Show 'Beyond belief' brother Ras Tony Tafari of Rastafari Global council was asked "Can a person be Rasta without believing that Haile Selassie is God?" He responded "No, he can't".

Well Tony brother I am a Rasta and I do not believe Haile Selassie was God or is God.

What makes me a Rasta?

I recognize and submit to the person of His Majesty as my earthly King. Just as the Israelite's once submitted to Moses, David, Solomon etc. I recognize that these men were given a position of leadership over God's people.

I hold that King Rastafari was blessed by God to hold the highest level of human consciousness, a consciousness of love, righteous livity, African Identity, justice and equality.

Various Rastafari manifest this consciousness in different ways, I personally manifest this consciousness by joining and embracing the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, which his Majesty himself was part of and head of and defender of the Church.

The concept of being deified by mankind was foreign to his Majesty, rather than crush the inspiration of the children in exile, he lovingly and patiently sent the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Faith to the children in exile, calling for the Rastafari people to be baptized and follow the Faith of the Church. Can a man reject what H.I.M has accepted? Can a man walk a different path to his master?

The church recognizes Haile Selassie as a created man, born of a mother and father without divinity, a Christian king who was coronated by the Church to serve God and the people. Even as a lesser messiah who was the hope of those in physical bondage, who came and defeated Italy by God's help and release the colonial choke hold Babylon had put upon African people. He brought to remembrance the Line of Judah. Awakened the children in exile and began firstly a spiritual movement towards Christ, and secondly a physical movement towards repatriation back to Africa which lives on in I n I today. He spread this consciousness around the earth. We Rasta seek to embody and uphold this consciousness.

I embrace the Lord and God to whom Haile Selassie submitted himself, to Eyesus Christos, Son of God, who was born of Virgin St. Mariam without Father, because he is not created in time, but he is from all eternity, begotten of the Holy Father in unspeakable mystery.

Hail Rastafari!

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. One God. AMEN

Was Christ a dark skinned man?

This post does not aim to promote racism of any form, is it simply an evaluation to determine the historical person of Eyesus Christos. There may be other views which disagree with my analysis and draw upon different arguments and sources, I support everybody's right to do that and encourage healthy debate and discussion.

The Bible says regarding King Solomon, the son of David

(Songs of Solomon 1:5) Dark am I, yet lovely, daughters of Jerusalem, dark like the tents of Kedar, like the tent curtains of Solomon.

This indicates something about the line from which Christ came from being dark skinned.

The Kebra Negast says that when the Son of King Solomon, King Menelik I came from Ethiopia to Israel at the age of 18 to meet his father King Solomon, all the people who were working in the fields began to bow at his presence because they thought that the man coming was King Solomon himself. They saw that he so resembled his father in all aspects that they could not tell the difference.

Is it conceivable the King of Ethiopia was not a dark skinned man? Ethiopia is an ancient African Kingdom. Ethiopians are known for having dark skinned faces.

It stands to reason then that King Solomon must have resembled an Ethiopian, he must have been dark skinned, his father David therefore must have been dark skinned too. Eyesus Christos came from this line.

How could a fair skinned child have hidden in Egypt an African country, wouldn't it have been wiser to go to a different country?

The issue of Christs race means nothing regarding his life and work, he is the divine Word of God, who has no race. But when he incarnated and became man, he had to take a race through lineage (He was not transparent). The disciples never ever thought to add the fact that he was dark skinned to their message, it was wholly irrelevant.

Just stop and think for a second, have you ever heard anyone say what colour is David Beckham? what colour is Usain Bolt? No! you haven't because generally we expect that all who are alive during this time know their color and we count it as irrelevant to the point, we speak about their works not their colour,  Beckham for his passing ability, Usain Bolt for his speed.

The reason why this is not stressed in the Bible is because it has no importance, the message is about Eyesus coming, life, death and resurrection. A gospel of salvation for all mankind, it is above limitations of race, colors, geographical location and creeds, it is about all mankind equally sharing in the salvation of Eyesus Christos.

Sadly. some racist colonialists from Europe decided to make the issue of Eyesus Christos race of importance by depicting him in images and statues as European with blond hair and blue eyes, insisting that he was like them and could not have been dark skinned. They argued that blacks were an inferior race in order to give themselves justification to enslave Africans and deny them basic human rights, and treat them as animals, saying God would never incarnate as such an inferior race.

The devil inspired this doctrine of oppression and racism, it culminated in the racist movements of Hitler and Mussolini, which had started bubbling away many years before, this doctrine prevailed for a long time, until God raised up H.I.M Haile Selassie I, to throw down Italy the fascist dragon and begin abolishing this ideology which had kept the Africans in chains for so long.

The consciousness of this movement spread across the world and inspired many other freedom movements, liberation movements, gender rights and civil rights movements, the best of these being Rastafari which holds to his majesty's teaching and the repatriation element which seeks to return home to Africa.

This topic has been taboo for a long time because there are always those who feel that exploring this issue would bring about contention and would detract from the gospel of Eyesus Christos. But the truth is that the concept of Christos being depicted as a European with blond hair and blue eyes has alienated some who were the victims of the colonialism and they feel as if the european Christos is a tool to enslave the people, but this is not so and the myth must be dispelled with the truth while always upholding the message of love, tolerance, forgiveness and  peace. Rasta should hold to the principles of his Majesty in these areas. Love all people regardless.

Was Haile Selassie an Orthodox Christian?

The answer is yes, he was a faithful follower of the church, he was baptized by the church, he was coronated by the church, he worshiped at the church, he had his children baptized at the church, he defended the church, sought blessing from the church. He even placed his own coffin in the church, we he had built (even though it remains empty).

He trusted Eyesus Christos as his Lord and Saviour.

What is Rastafari?

To each his own, for some Rastafari is a religion, for others it is a faith, for others it is a social movement, for others it is a creed, for others it is a way of life, for others it is something else...for me personally Rastafari in its true form is an adherence to the priniciples of His Majesty, which ultimately lead man to christ.
